Kati basti is a sanskrit term derived from Kati” means “low back or lumbar region” and “basti” means “to retain”. Kati basti is the main therapy for the lumbo-sacral conditions. This may also be called Ayurvedic care for Lumbo-sacral region. In this treatment various medicated oils or fluidsare made to retain in the lumbo-sacral region, this gives bathe to entire region followed by a gentle massage. This therapy performs both snehana & swedna to reduce the pain & stiffness thereby promoting blood circulation & mobility.
