Vamana is a main panchkarma treatment. This is perfomed after internal (स्नेह्पानम) & external oleation (अभ्यंगम & स्वेदनम). Vamana acts on dosha level & removes the excess kapha (mucous) collected in body & airways. This is performed in people with vitiation of kapha dosha.
