This treatment is purva karma of panchakarma. This is also called as poultice. In this therapy medicated paste is locally applied to reduce pain & swelling. The paste is made hot and applied over the affected part of body and is allowed to remain tehre for 6-12 hours, by covring with a medicated leaf & using a bandage. Then it is removed and body part cleaned with warm water.
